Lineup:

Huw V Williams – Bass

Mike De Souza – Guitar

Billy Marrows – Guitar

Jay Davis – Drums

Di-Cysgodion, led by Welsh bass player/composer HUW V WILLIAMS. The line up consists of Mike De Souza and Billy Marrows both on electric guitar, Jay Davis on drums and Huw V Williams completing the line up on electric bass. Williams goes back to his rock roots with this instrumentation to explore the sonic pallet from the view of a jazz improvisor/composer.

Having previously led projects with no harmony instruments, Huw decided to have a group which deals with harmony head on, exploring dense harmonic voicings paired with infectious rhythms and live stereo guitars. This music comes from a huge pool of influences, including Deerhoof, Ravel, Thelonious Monk, Super Furry Animals, Ornette Coleman, Hermeto and everything in between. A musical spectacle not to be missed.

https://wegottickets.com/event/695327

Lineup:

Olly Chalk – piano/compositions

George Garford – alto saxophone

Daniel Kemshell – guitar

Sacha Harlan – drums

Houndsbleat is a quartet of piano, alto saxophone, guitar and drums that fuses intricate composition with ferocious group improvisation. This is music that is challenging, emotive and cerebral; demanding presence from both sides of the stage.

Channeling the intensity and rigour of the contemporary improvised music scene in Brooklyn, New York, Houndsbleat explores form as a living structure – capable of being strained, interrupted and reshaped in real time. Here, kaleidoscopic grooves, twisting contrapuntal melodies and explosive group interplay zig-zag through tightly-woven musical labyrinths; welcoming volatility and beauty in the stark.
