The Tom Ridout Quintet, led by the award-winning saxophonist and composer Tom Ridout, offers an invigorating experience deeply rooted in the rich traditions of jazz. Tom’s saxophone performances evoke the essence of legends such as John Coltrane and Wayne Shorter, creating a sense of timelessness. As a rising star on the UK jazz scene, Tom’s music embodies a profound emotional depth that resonates with audiences.
Having graduated from the prestigious Royal Academy of Music and being recognized by Jazzwise Magazine as an emerging talent, Tom has garnered accolades such as being a finalist in the 2016 BBC Young Musician Jazz Award. His ensembles have performed at iconic venues like Ronnie Scott’s and The 606, as well as prestigious events like the London Jazz Festival.
This evening, Tom will be joined on stage by a group of exceptional musicians. The quintet will present a captivating setlist that includes original compositions from Tom’s repertoire, exploring the boundaries of jazz while paying tribute to its rich heritage.

The London Django Collective was born out of the desire to create a local and innovative forum for musicians influenced by the musical legacy of Django Reinhardt.
Remaining in the spirit of Django, whilst pushing the genre of gypsy jazz forward into the vibrant London jazz scene the London Django Collective have a vision of true progression for the style whilst nodding to the great musicians who came before them.
Expect a night of fireworks with an assortment of the top guitarists in the UK Django scene, playing a mixture of new compositions and old reworked Django and Stephane pieces.

Tonight we have a performance by the exceptionally talented pianist Jay Verma in duo with the renowned composer and vibraphonist Jonny Mansfield!
Jay Verma is a pianist from London who will be releasing his debut EP this year. His music weaves intricate musical elements deemed ‘inaccessible’ into heartfelt and memorable tunes that resonate deeply. At his core, Jay is a songwriter using the piano as his vessel to bring together the whimsical tunes of Randy Newman with the harmonically searching language of Brad Mehldau, Barry Harris and John Williams.
